About Dr. Deo

Dr. Deo received his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at Government Medical College, Chandigarh, India. He completed his residency at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, Michigan. Dr. Deo completed his fellowship training at the University of Louisville, Kentucky.

He also had the opportunity to serve as the Chief Nephrology Fellow at the University of Louisville. During his Nephrology fellowship, he gained thorough experience in all aspects of clinical nephrology and kidney transplant, and he gained expertise in managing difficult-to-control hypertension. Dr. Deo is board-certified in Internal Medicine (ABIM) and Nephrology.

Mansumeet Singh, MD

Dr. Singh is a board-certified nephrologist. He earned his bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery (MBBS) degree from Dayanand Medical College in Ludhiana, India, before completing his internal medicine residency at Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, and his nephrology fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri.

He is a member of the American Society of Nephrology, National Kidney Foundation, Renal Physicians Association, Society of General Internal Medicine, and American Association of Physicians of India.

Rajat Maheshwari, MD

Dr. Maheshwari earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, Karnataka, India. After finishing medical school, Dr. Maheshwari did his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Peoria. He worked as a hospitalist for three years in Peoria, Illinois, before completing his Nephrology Fellowship training at the University of Alabama, Birmingham.

His interests include management of acute kidney injury, glomerular disease, and all dialysis modalities, including home modalities like Peritoneal Dialysis and Home hemodialysis. His publications include Chronic Massive Pneumoperitoneum published in the Kidney International, the Official Journal of the International Society of Nephrology.

He is a member of the American Society of Nephrology and has medical licensures in Alabama and Ohio. Dr. Maheshwari is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology Board eligible.

Harkanwal Dhillon, MD

Dr. Dhillon is a board-certified and fellowship-trained nephrologist. She earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the Government Medical College in Patiala, India. Dr. Dhillon completed her internal medicine residency and served as a chief medical resident at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, where she also completed her fellowship in nephrology.

She is a member of the American Society of Nephrology, American Board of Medical Specialties, American College of Physicians, American Society of Internal Medicine, Michigan State Medical Society, Wayne County Medical Society, Indian Red Cross Society, and Blood Donors Association.

Adrian Ochoa, MD

Dr. Ochoa is a board-certified and fellowship-trained nephrologist. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Youngstown State University prior to earning his Doctorate of Medicine from Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED).

Dr. Ochoa proceeded to complete his Internal Medicine Internship and Categorical Internal Medicine Residency at Akron City Hospital before completing a Nephrology Fellowship at University Hospitals in Cleveland.

He is currently a member of the American Society of Nephrology, American College of Physicians, and American Medical Association.

Yuliya Sharakova, MD

Yuliya Sharakova, MD, is a board-certified internist and fellowship-trained nephrologist. Dr. Sharakova earned her Doctor of Medicine from Vitebsk State Medical University, completed her Nephrology Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic, and her Virtual Glomerular Disease Fellowship at the Glomerular Disease Study and Trial Consortium (GlomCon).

She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Wayne State University – Detroit Medical Center. Dr. Sharakova is a member of the American Society of Nephrology, the National Kidney Foundation, and the American Medical Association.

Monica Rizzo, MSN, CNP, earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlin University after earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University and Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from Cuyahoga Community College.

Rizzo has nearly 20 years of experience as a Registered Nurse working with adult and pediatric cardiology patients and is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Kevin Primer

Kevin Primer, AGPCNP

Nephrology, Hypertension and Kidney Disease

Kevin Primer, AGPCNP, is a nationally certified Nurse Practitioner. Primer earned his Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota after receiving his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.

He is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, the Ohio Board of Nursing, and the American Heart Association. Additionally, he is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, American Nurses Association, Ohio Nurses Association, and Ohio Association of Advanced Practice Nurses.

Michelle Smith, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati after earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Akron. She is certified in Advanced Cardio-Pulmonary Life Support and basic life support by the American Heart Association.
